This Jan Aushadhi medicine price list is taken from the official Product & MRP List that PMBJP publishes on janaushadhi.gov.in, read on 15 October 2026. That list has 2,439 entries: medicines, surgical items and consumables, each with a drug code, pack size and MRP. The MRP is printed on the pack and is the same at every Kendra in India, so the prices below are what you pay at the counter whether the Kendra is inside AIIMS New Delhi or in a district town. We have pulled out the 56 medicines people most often carry out of a government hospital OPD, grouped by what they are for, and the devices and consumables that a Kendra sells alongside them.
Prices are PMBJP’s published MRP on 15 October 2026 and change when PMBJP revises them; the drug code lets you check any row on the official list. Stock varies by Kendra. A prescription is still needed for prescription medicines. Amazon does not sell prescription medicines, so the Amazon links on this page are only for devices and consumables; some are affiliate links and we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Nothing here is advice to change a medicine or a dose.

| Pregnancy test kit (Ankur) | 5079 | ₹18.75 | – | – |
The devices are where the comparison is worth making, because here a Kendra competes with brands rather than with other generics. The Jan Aushadhi BP machine, at ₹937.50, costs the same as the cheapest branded monitor and half an Omron; the nebulizer and pulse oximeter are cheaper than any branded unit; the thermometer and protein powder are much cheaper per unit. Diapers are the exception: the Kendra sells packs of 5 and 10, and a 60-pack of a tape-style brand works out cheaper per piece, which our adult diaper price guide goes through.
How to read the Jan Aushadhi medicine price list
- Drug code is PMBJP’s own number for the product; type it into the search box on the official list to see the current MRP and group.
- Pack is the unit size: 10 means a strip of ten tablets, 100 means a bottle of a hundred.
- MRP includes GST and is printed on the pack. A Kendra cannot charge more; many give a small discount on it.
- “Zero MRP products are under process”, the note on the official page, means a product has been added to the list but not yet priced; 344 of the 2,439 rows were like that on 15 October 2026, and none of them is in the tables above.
- Branded equivalents are usually several times the Jan Aushadhi medicine price list figure; PMBJP’s rule is to price at no more than half the average of the three top-selling brands, and the Government puts the saving at 50 to 90 per cent (PIB, September 2026).
Buying from the Jan Aushadhi medicine price list after a government hospital OPD

- Read the generic name on the prescription. AIIMS, PGIMER and most state medical colleges prescribe by generic name; if the slip has a brand, ask the doctor to add the generic name, which the Kendra needs to match the product.
- Find the Kendra. Use the locator on janaushadhi.gov.in or the Jan Aushadhi Sugam app. Many government hospitals have one on campus; our AIIMS Delhi OPD guide has the one next to the OPD block.
- Carry the prescription for anything in the antibiotic, diabetes, heart, thyroid and steroid groups above.
- Check the pack size on the list, not just the price: thyroxine comes in 100s, amoxycillin-clavulanate in 6s.
- Keep the bill. CGHS, ECHS and employer reimbursements accept Jan Aushadhi bills; see how to use an Ayushman card at AIIMS for what the Ayushman scheme does and does not cover.
