PGIMER Chandigarh publishes its charges through an online tool, not a single PDF. Read on 3 November 2026, the tool shows two prices for each test, Private and General. A plain CT head is 1,000 (Private) and 300 (General), an MRI of one region is 4,500 and 2,500, an echo is 100 and a blood count is 50.
General information, not medical or financial advice. PGIMER changes its tariff; confirm the rate on the PGIMER page or at the registration counter before you pay. Every figure below was read from the PGIMER charges tool on 3 November 2026. The tool prints plain numbers with no currency symbol; we read them as rupees.

Is there a PGI rate list PDF?
On 3 November 2026 we found no single PDF on the PGIMER Hospital Charges page. It is an interactive tool: you pick a department (or Show All), then a test, and it returns that test’s tariff code and its Private and General rates. The tool listed 2,514 tests that day. If you need a copy for your own records, note the tariff code and the date you read it.
How to check any test on the PGIMER charges page
- Open the PGIMER Hospital Charges page.
- Pick a department, or choose Show All.
- Pick the test name from the list.
- Press GO. The result shows the department, tariff code, and the Private and General rates.
PGI rate list for medical reimbursement
The PGIMER tool shows what PGIMER charges. It does not say how much your employer or health scheme will refund. Reimbursement limits, and the rates a claim is checked against, are set by the scheme you belong to (for example a central, state or employer scheme), so ask its claims office which rates apply and which documents it wants. Keep the receipt, the tariff code and the date you read the rate, as they help when a claim is queried.
What do Private and General mean?
PGIMER’s tool labels the two columns Private and General and does not define them on that page. Which one applies to you depends on your registration category, so ask at the PGIMER registration counter before you pay.
