The Jan Aushadhi knee cap costs ₹120 a pair in small, medium or large, and the version with a patellar ring costs ₹200 a pair. Those are the MRPs on PMBJP’s official Product & MRP List, read on 15 October 2026. A Tynor Knee Cap Air pair was ₹249 on Amazon the same day. The list also has most of the supports an orthopaedics OPD writes on a slip: lumbo-sacral belts, cervical collars, wrist and thumb braces, anklets, elbow supports, compression stockings and abdominal belts, nearly all at half the branded price. This page lists each with its drug code.
Jan Aushadhi prices are PMBJP’s published MRP on 15 October 2026 (official Product & MRP List); the drug code lets you check any row. Amazon.in prices were read the same day and change often; the links show today’s price. Some links are affiliate links and we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. A support eases pain and protects a joint; it does not treat the cause. Wear what the orthopaedic or physiotherapy OPD prescribes, in the size they measure.

The plain Jan Aushadhi knee cap is an elastic sleeve for mild knee pain, early osteoarthritis and support while walking. The patellar-ring version has an opening and cushion around the kneecap, which some patients find more comfortable on stairs. The knee brace belt (₹525) is a wrap-around brace with more support, closer to what is given after a ligament strain.
Jan Aushadhi knee cap against Tynor and other brands

Tynor is the support brand you will see most often at chemists, so it is the fair comparison. On 15 October 2026: the Jan Aushadhi knee cap pair at ₹120 against Tynor Knee Cap Air at ₹249 and Nivia knitted knee support at ₹249; and the Jan Aushadhi knee brace belt at ₹525 against a Tynor knee cap with rigid hinge at ₹482, which is the one item where the brand is cheaper. Hinged braces are for unstable knees and should be fitted on medical advice.

The lumbo-sacral belt is the biggest saving: ₹370 to ₹390 at the Kendra against ₹989 for a Tynor LS belt. Compression stockings for varicose veins are another: ₹130 to ₹180 at the Kendra; branded medical-grade stockings range from ₹399 to ₹1,640. Stockings come in compression classes, and the class matters more than the brand; ask the doctor which class you need and check the pack.
How to choose the right size of Jan Aushadhi knee cap

- Measure around the knee at the middle of the kneecap, with the leg straight, in centimetres.
- Read the size chart on the pack at the Kendra; sizes differ between makers, so do not go by your Tynor size.
- Try it on if the Kendra allows: it should be snug, not leave deep marks, and let you bend the knee.
- Buy one size up if you are between sizes and have swelling in the evenings.
- Wash by hand in cold water and dry in the shade; heat ruins the elastic.
When a knee cap is not enough
Knee pain that wakes you at night, a knee that locks or gives way, swelling with fever, or pain after a fall needs an orthopaedic OPD, not a support. Government medical colleges run orthopaedic OPDs daily; our AIIMS Delhi OPD guide and IGIMS Patna OPD guide explain registration, and the PGI rate list has what an X-ray or MRI costs there. For pain medicines and gels at Kendra prices, see the Jan Aushadhi medicine price list.
