We built one from the official Product & MRP List read on 15 October 2026: fifteen items, from cotton and bandages to antiseptic, burn cream, ORS, paracetamol and a digital thermometer, for ₹386 in total. A comparable ready kit on Amazon costs ₹525 to ₹810, and single branded items cost several times the Kendra price. This page gives the list with drug codes so you can buy it at one counter.

Ready-made first aid kits on Amazon
| Kit | Price | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Hansaplast Fast Aid Kit, 35 pieces | ₹282 | Buy on Amazon |
| Carent small first aid kit, 13 items | ₹525 | Buy on Amazon |
| Carent jumbo first aid kit, 21 items, with thermometer | ₹810 | Buy on Amazon |
| Markwell lockable medicine box (empty, to hold a Kendra kit) | ₹154 | Buy on Amazon |
A ready kit is the right buy for a car, an office or a gift, where you want everything in one sealed box. The Hansaplast kit is cheap but is mostly plasters and dressings, with no thermometer or medicines. For a home, a Jan Aushadhi first aid kit put together at the Kendra costs less and holds more of what you will actually use; an empty lockable medicine box keeps it together.
How to use the Jan Aushadhi first aid kit

- Cuts and scrapes: wash with clean water, dab with povidone-iodine solution, cover with a gauze pad and paper tape, or an adhesive bandage for a small cut.
- Minor burns: hold under cool running water for 20 minutes first, then a thin layer of the burn cream and a loose gauze cover. Never apply toothpaste, ice or oil.
- Sprains: rest, a cold pack wrapped in cloth, and a crepe bandage wound firmly but not tight; loosen it if the toes or fingers go cold or blue.
- Diarrhoea: one ORS sachet in one litre of clean water, sipped often; see a doctor if there is blood, high fever or the person cannot keep fluids down.
- Fever: check with the thermometer and use paracetamol at the dose on the pack for an adult; for a child, use the dose the paediatrician gave.
What a Jan Aushadhi first aid kit should not replace
Snake bite, dog bite, deep cuts that gape, burns larger than the person’s palm, any burn on the face or genitals, and injuries to the head or eye all need a hospital. A dog bite needs anti-rabies vaccination, which government hospitals give free; wash the wound with soap and running water for 15 minutes on the way. Our AIIMS Delhi guide covers the emergency entrance, and the Jan Aushadhi medicine price list lists other common medicines at Kendra prices.
