Jan Aushadhi BP Machine Price 2026: ₹937.50 vs Omron, Dr Morepen

The Jan Aushadhi BP machine costs ₹937.50. That is the MRP PMBJP lists for its “Digital Blood Pressure Instrument (100% mercury free)”, drug code 8133, on the official Product & MRP List we read on 15 October 2026, and it is the same at every Jan Aushadhi Kendra in India. It is an automatic digital monitor, not the old mercury column, so it is meant for home use. This guide puts that price next to the branded BP machines sold most on Amazon, explains how to read your blood pressure properly at home, and lists what the BP medicines themselves cost at the Kendra.

Jan Aushadhi prices are PMBJP’s published MRP on 15 October 2026 (official Product & MRP List); the drug code lets you check any row. Amazon.in prices were read the same day and change often; the links show today’s price. Some links are affiliate links and we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This page does not tell you what your blood pressure should be or whether to change a medicine; that is for your doctor.

So the Jan Aushadhi BP machine is not the cheapest monitor you can buy; three branded upper-arm machines on Amazon cost a few rupees less on the day we checked. What it gives you is a fixed printed price, no delivery wait, and a Kendra counter to go back to. Omron costs nearly twice as much and is the brand most hospital OPDs use, which some patients prefer for that reason. All of the monitors in the table measure at the upper arm, which is what doctors recommend over wrist monitors.

Is the Jan Aushadhi BP machine available at every Kendra?

It is on the central product list, which means any Kendra can order it from PMBJP’s warehouse, but not every Kendra keeps one on the shelf. Call before you go, give the drug code 8133, and ask the pharmacist to order it if it is out of stock; it usually arrives with the next supply. Ask for the warranty card and the cuff size printed on the box when you buy, because the official list does not publish warranty terms. The Kendra locator on janaushadhi.gov.in and the Jan Aushadhi Sugam app list the nearest outlets; many government hospitals have one on campus.

Which BP machine to buy: Jan Aushadhi or a brand

  • Buy the Jan Aushadhi BP machine if there is a Kendra near you that has it, you want a fixed price, and you are happy to go back to the counter if something goes wrong.
  • Buy Dr Morepen or AccuSure if you want the same price range delivered home.
  • Buy an Omron if your doctor has asked for a validated brand, or if an older parent will use it alone and needs the simplest one-button machine.
  • Buy a Bluetooth model only if someone will actually read the readings on a phone, for example a child tracking a parent’s BP from another city.
  • Check the cuff size on any machine: the standard cuff fits an upper arm of about 22 to 32 cm; a larger arm needs a large cuff or the reading will be falsely high.

How to use a Jan Aushadhi BP machine at home

How to use a Jan Aushadhi BP machine at home in five steps
Measuring at home
  1. Sit quietly for five minutes, back supported, feet flat, no tea, coffee or smoking in the half hour before.
  2. Bare the upper arm and wrap the cuff about two finger-widths above the elbow, with the tube over the inside of the arm.
  3. Rest the arm on a table at heart level, palm up, and do not talk while the cuff inflates.
  4. Take two readings a minute apart and write both down with the date and time.
  5. Take the notebook to the OPD. A week of morning and evening readings is what the doctor wants to see; one reading on one day is not.

Any digital BP machine, the Jan Aushadhi BP machine included, can be checked against the clinic: take your machine to your next OPD visit and measure once with it straight after the nurse measures you. A difference of a few points is normal; a big one means the cuff is the wrong size or the machine needs replacing.

The machine is a one-time cost; the medicines are monthly. These are the commonest blood pressure medicines on the same official list, with the pack MRP and what a month costs at one tablet a day. Take only what your doctor has prescribed; the table is a price list, not a treatment guide.

Jan Aushadhi BP machine for a government hospital patient

Cardiology and medicine OPDs at AIIMS, PGIMER and the state medical colleges routinely ask hypertension patients to keep a home BP log, and a Jan Aushadhi BP machine bought at the campus Kendra is the cheapest way to start one. Our government heart hospitals guide lists where to go for a specialist opinion, and the PGI rate list has what an ECG or echo costs there.
