General information, not medical advice. Read on 7 October 2026. AIIMS pages for NCI do not state every detail, and we say so where that is the case. Confirm timings and registration with AIIMS before you travel.

Departments at NCI AIIMS Jhajjar

AIIMS lists these departments under NCI Jhajjar:

  • Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology and Radiation Oncology;
  • Onco-Anaesthesia and Palliative Medicine;
  • Onco-Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Preventive Oncology;
  • Pathology, Laboratory Oncology, Blood Centre and Medical Physics;
  • Hospital Administration.

An AIIMS newsletter from November 2022 also describes gynaecologic oncology and head-and-neck oncology services at NCI.

How patients are seen at NCI AIIMS Jhajjar

AIIMS’s NCI page links “OPD Appointments” to the national ORS portal (ors.gov.in). On ORS, NCI does not appear as a separate hospital; AIIMS New Delhi is listed. AIIMS also runs a transport facility for patients of Dr B.R.A. Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital (IRCH) in Delhi to reach NCI for oncology services, which shows that many patients are referred to NCI from the Delhi campus.

AIIMS does not publish a separate walk-in registration process for NCI. The documented route goes through the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Institute-Rotary Cancer Hospital (IRCH) at AIIMS New Delhi. In October 2022 its chief, who also heads NCI, set IRCH OPD registration at 8 AM to 1 PM on all working days, with no patient sent back from the OPD without a consultation. AIIMS also started transport for cancer patients from IRCH to NCI.

The safest approach for a new patient is to book through ORS for AIIMS New Delhi, or to register at IRCH with your reports, and ask whether your treatment will be at NCI Jhajjar. If you are sent to NCI, ask at IRCH about the patient transport. On the NCI campus itself, AIIMS provides a free electric-vehicle service to move patients between buildings, with ramps for patients with limited mobility.

How to reach NCI AIIMS Jhajjar (Badsa)

NCI AIIMS Jhajjar: how to reach by metro, bus and train
Getting to Badsa

AIIMS’s own “How to reach NCI” page gives these routes:

  • Metro and bus: Blue Line to Dwarka, then Grey Line to Najafgarh. From Najafgarh, take bus No. 827 to “Dauralla Border NCI AIIMS Crossing, Badsa”, or a direct bus to NCI AIIMS, Badsa. Bus 827 also runs from the Tilak Nagar terminal.
  • Metro and taxi: Blue Line to Dwarka Sector 21, then a taxi or ride-share.
  • Train: trains run from Delhi to Jhajjar railway station; NCI is a short taxi or auto-rickshaw ride from there.
  • Road: via NH48 to the Manesar interchange and NH71 towards Jhajjar, or via the Dwarka Expressway.

There is no metro station at the campus. Najafgarh and Dwarka Sector 21 are the nearest metro points named by AIIMS.

Tests, blood collection and reports at NCI

The blood collection centre is on the ground floor of the NCI OPD block (extension 4058). It is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday, 8 AM to 1 PM. It is closed on Sundays and gazetted holidays. A separate collection centre at the Badsa Outreach OPD (Room 63) works Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 1 PM. Ask at the counter how you will receive reports. AIIMS does not state online report access for NCI specifically.

Stay for patients’ families: Vishram Sadan

The Infosys Foundation Vishram Sadan on the Jhajjar campus, an 806-bed rest house for cancer patients’ attendants, was inaugurated in October 2021. AIIMS has a page for it, but we could not confirm the current charges or how to book. Ask at the NCI enquiry counter.

Charges and Ayushman at NCI

AIIMS does not publish a separate rate list for NCI that we could find. NCI is part of AIIMS New Delhi, so start with the AIIMS Delhi rate list and confirm at the NCI billing counter. AIIMS implements Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY across the institute. See Ayushman card at AIIMS and ask at NCI where its Ayushman desk is.

NCI AIIMS Jhajjar and the AIIMS Jhajjar campus

NCI is one part of the larger AIIMS campus at Badsa, which also has an Outreach OPD that AIIMS has run since 2012. For the campus as a whole, see our AIIMS Jhajjar (Badsa) guide. For cancer care at another government centre that publishes a formal international-patient service, see Tata Memorial.
