The AIIMS Delhi rate list is the set of charges that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi publishes for registration, wards, tests and operations. AIIMS charges far less than private hospitals, and many basic tests are free. This guide gives the charges from AIIMS’s own website and separates the ones AIIMS currently states from older rates it keeps on an archived page.
Read on 7 October 2026. AIIMS does not publish one dated, current rate list. Treat the archived rates below as a guide and confirm every charge at the AIIMS billing counter before you pay.

AIIMS Delhi rate list: current ward and room charges
These charges are stated on the AIIMS Citizen Charter, the hospital’s current statement of services:
| Service | Charge | What it includes |
|---|---|---|
| General ward: advance for 10 days | ₹375 | Doctor consultations, certain basic investigations, life-saving medicines and surgical items, diet, linen and IV fluids |
| Private ward: Deluxe (A class) | ₹6,300 per day | Room rent; diet ₹300 per day extra |
| Private ward: Semi-deluxe (B class) | ₹3,000 per day | Room rent; diet ₹300 per day extra |
| Emergency registration | Free | At the emergency registration counter |
Private rooms are allotted from a waiting list after a doctor recommends one. Private ward patients also pay separately for specific investigations, procedures and operations. AIIMS says special investigations such as ultrasound, CT and MRI are charged “as per the rates approved by Government”, revised from time to time.

AIIMS Delhi rate list for MRI, CT, ultrasound and X-ray (archived)
Important: the rates in this and the next two sections come from an AIIMS page headed “Archived Revised Rates for Investigations and Operative Procedures”. It is undated. Since then, an official AIIMS order of 19 May 2022 abolished user charges for all investigations and laboratory tests costing up to ₹300 per procedure, in AIIMS hospital and all its centres. That means the tests listed below at ₹300 or less are now free. Higher charges may also have been revised, so confirm them at the billing counter.
