AIIMS Madurai Hospital fees: Key Information

General Patients	No charges for patients with a monthly income less than Rs. 2,500.
Cancer Patients	All cancer therapy is free irrespective of income.
Dental Patients	Dental charges apply to all OPD patients, regardless of income.
Special Ward Patients	Class A & B pay full charges, while Class C pays 50% of radiological and other procedures.
Students & Junior Residents	JIPMER students & junior residents get free treatment in Class C (diet not included).
Staff & Senior Residents	Free treatment for staff and their families as per C.S. (M.A.) Rules, 1944, except diet charges.
Retired Employees	Retired employees & their spouses get the same medical care as during service.
Freedom Fighters	Eligible for the same facilities as Group ‘A’ Officers.
Green Card Holders	Eligible for free treatment in Class C under the Family Planning Program.
Government Servants	Class C: Basic pay Rs. 2,550 – Rs. 5,499 Class B: Basic pay Rs. 5,500 – Rs. 7,999 Class A: Basic pay Rs. 8,000 and above
Half-Day Charges	Applied if admitted after 12:00 PM and discharged before 12:00 PM.
Medicines & Treatment	Special ward patients buy their medicines; general ward patients receive free medicines (if stocked).
